More than 50 percent of the Meridian Chardonnay is grown in the coolest regions of Santa Barbara County where classic, sought-after characteristics of vibrant acidity and tropical fruit flavors are typical. The sandy soil keeps yields low and fruit intensity high. A portion of the wine comes from Monterey County, complementing the wine with wonderful tropical fruit flavors. Approximately half of the blend is fermented in stainless steel tanks to retain purity of fruit, while the balance ferments on seasoned French and American oak. This is a classic California Chardonnay with lush tropical fruit flavors enhanced with a wonderful creaminess and a crisp lasting finish.
Aromas of caramel and vanilla mingle pleasingly on the nose, with a hint of sweet oak. Tropical fruit flavors dominate on the palate – pineapple and green apple mingle seamlessly with hints of brown sugar and butterscotch. The influence of 100% malolactic fermentation lends a creamy, buttery component to the mouthfeel. This well-balanced California Chardonnay finishes with a nice acidity that is perfect on its own or paired with a variety of foods.
The Pinot Noir is selected from the finest vineyards in Northern California. We cold soak the grapes, to extract as much flavor and color as possible. After
fermentation, the wine is aged on French oak and some American oak.
The French oak gives rich toasty notes, while the American oak give the wine some vanilla aromas.
The Meridian Cabernet Sauvignon is grown throughout select vineyards in sun drenched California. The perfect seasonal growing conditions produce ripe and generous fruit. A portion of the wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks to retain the fresh fruit character of these beautiful grapes. The majority of the wine ferments and is aged for 6 months on seasoned American and French oak to add rich, spicy notes and flavors of vanilla and clove.
Meridian Cabernet Sauvignon opens with aromas of mocha and dark red fruit, which are complemented by spicy oak and a hint of vanilla. A rich mid palate opens to flavors of dark cherry, blackberry, caramel and plum, which continue through to the finish. This wine is smooth and elegant with vibrant approachable fruit flavors that will pair well with a variety of foods.
A majority of the grapes are carefully selected from our Santa Barbara vineyards, which gives this wine the mid-palate richness synonymous with Santa Barbara fruit. Our Pinot Grigio is brought into the winery and gently crushed; then the juice is immediately moved to stainless steel for cold fermentation. 100% stainless steel fermentation helps to preserve
the fresh citrus aromas and natural acidity of the grape.
The Meridian Pinot Grigio begins with inviting, delicate floral aromas. Soft and luscious on the palate, vibrant fruit flavors of orange blossom and citrus are accented by a slight mineral component. The finish is crisp and refreshing. Enjoy well chilled.
