Our Wines

From light and lively to full-bodied and robust, our Classic and Limited Release wines capture the distinctive characteristics for which wines from the Central Coast growing region are known.

The California Central Coast is distinguished by unique east/west running mountain ranges, which open to the Pacific Ocean. This allows fog and cool breezes to be funneled directly inland, offsetting the otherwise hot temperatures and giving the Central Coast an unusually long growing season. These favorable climatic conditions result in extra time on the vine for the grapes, which allows them to ripen more slowly and develop more concentrated flavors. Bright, bold fruit flavors and lively crispness are the hallmarks of this region’s wines.

All of our wines are ready to be enjoyed upon release. We should also mention that our great tasting wines have won over 200 gold medals since 1991, when we first began to sell our wines.

While our Classic wines are widely available, our Limited Release wines are only available online, through the Meridian Wine Club or at our tasting room in Paso Robles.

Lee Miyamura, Meridian Winemaker
Lee Miyamura graduated from Sonoma State University with a BA in Biology with an emphasis in Molecular Biology and a minor in Chemistry. During her studies, she lived in Napa , which led her to a temporary Quality Assurance Lab position at Meridian’s sister winery, Beringer Vineyards in St. Helena. Lee was immediately bitten by the winemaking bug. Several promotions and 20 years later, she was named as Meridian’s winemaker of white wines.

As Meridian has grown over the years, so has Lee’s role. She is involved in every step of the winemaking process from harvest to barreling to blending to bottling. She enjoys the fresh opportunity each harvest brings, and the camaraderie that has grown over the years between the members of the Meridian team. "Sure, this is where I work, but it is really my home."

Lee lives in Paso Robles with her dog Pepper, a mutt she rescued from a litter of winery pups. She has picked up golf and enjoys playing in her limited spare time.
